My grandmother had a hunger for independence and travel even when it wasn’t the norm for women to set off on their own. My mom had the same free spirit which she instilled in me. Unfortunately my addiction kept me in a figurative prison afraid to go anywhere. My world was so small.
When I got sober, it was like my soul was set free and my passion for travel was unleashed. I realized how much I missed during those lonely times and the freedom to explore was exhilarating.
I love making memories with friends and family that last a lifetime. Even traveling by myself is so rewarding. I spend quiet time in nature and with God. He gave us this beautiful world and I want to see as much of it as possible.
I would love to hear what traveling does for you!
Traveling is definitely one of my passions! I’m so grateful to be sober so I can see the world and experience the things that I love! It is definitely one of the biggest gifts I’ve gotten from sobriety!
